NANO was commissioned by Greece's Ministry of Transportation to decorate Athens' buses with his unique creations in order to celebrate the country's culture and heritage during its bicentennial celebrations.

The use of the bus as a medium is particularly poignant to NANO's message and gives it a new dimension, as not only do the buses become entangled in the daily life of the Athenians, but also by getting on the bus, the spectators can literally emerge and become one with the Greek culture represented on them.
