NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM EXHIBITION

FIRST SOLO EXHIBITION TO CELEBRATE NATURE

NATURE and ART constitute clear polyphonies of colors and patterns and both share their core value in the act of creation and birth. They generate life and offer a deep breath of hope when one stands before their magnificence. Art owes its existence largely to nature. Nowadays the word art is also used as an adjective when admiring a beautiful landscape. Art and nature are therefore imbued with an interconnected and continuous relationship with strong roots. The main theme of this exhibition by the contemporary and highly environmentally conscious artist Stefanos Nanopoulos, also known as NANO, is nature. An exhibition that serves as a hymn, a reverence to nature and simultaneously as a “cry” for salvation, as seen i.e. in the work “HELP”. NANO, as a contemporary castaway, creates artworks that address mankind’s ethical obligation to protect the valuable ecosystem of animals that are constantly threatened with extinction. The exhibition’s educational nature is aligned with the contemporary artist’s responsibility to address social and environmental issues of the present times
