NANO was commissioned by Pentheroudakis, one of Greece's most prominent and oldest luxury jewellers to celebrate love and create the Valentine's Day window display of their flagship store.

NANO did so by creating two pieces for their window display: a heart and a couple.

Through his heart piece, NANO wished to convey the multitude of forms that romantic love can take. Love cannot and should not be standardised into one specific type; it spans across all ages, sexual orientations, life stages and periods, a fact which NANO aims to portray through the use of a variety of couples in his mosaic. What is more, love is a dynamic phenomenon, which, rather than remaining static changes over time, adding various shades of colour in ones life. This is why the artist decided to make this piece in such a way that it enables colour changes as the viewers pass by. In his couple piece, NANO wants to express the emotion of fullness that being loved by someone can provide. Each one of us is an agglomeration of the love that we receive from those we cherish the most. Perhaps most of all, the love we receive from our significant others is the one which can be the most self-defining. For this two piece set, NANO decided to create the portrait of a couple very dear to him, who he knows well and who will this year celebrate their union in marriage.
